Duct Tape
I’ve decided to get rid of the comment system. While Disqus offers a nice service, Matt McInerney’s post sums up why comments on a platform like Tumblr is, simply put, useless. All the comments I’ve ever received (in the rare event that I get one) adds little value to my tumblelog. They’re gone.

I haven’t been able to update in a long time.
I spent last weekend in Los Angeles landscaping my entire back yard. All 2,100 sq.-ft. of it. My brother and his friend Erik (also the only person who offered to help) spent thirty backbreaking hours planting plants/trees, hoeing, and deweeding.

Durian!

I just ate durian! One of the Vietnamese students brought it in to the ESOL teacher. It does indeed smell like cat pee, but it tastes delicious. Kind of like if you took Cracker Jacks and mango and heavy cream and mixed them all together.
Now I can check that off of my list of things I want to try before I die. And put another notch in my foodie victory belt!
