My CD arrived! I remember playing Final Fantasy VI (III in the U.S.) at the age of 8, and discovered the heart moving, wonderful music of Nobuo Uematsu. All the music on the CD is performed by the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra (Swedish; recommend Google Translate to English).

Get Tumblr on your TV!
The insanely talented guys at Boxee just launched a Tumblr app for your television. We can’t thank their team enough. Go get Boxee and disconnect your cable already.
We love Tumblr at boxee. We thought enabling users to stream music and view slideshows from the people they are following on Tumblr would be a cool experience on boxee, so we worked with them to build it.
We will continue to work with the Tumblr team and you should expect more Tumblr features on boxee soon.

Digitalism - Pogo (Shinichi Osawa remix)
Shinichi Osawa seems to be quite the remixer. I noticed his name on several big singles on Hype Machine, and finally decided to investigate. According to his Wikipedia page, he’s officially signed on to various labels under the name “Mondo Grosso”, but has recently been popularized under his real name for doing remixes such as this song.

I made a post about TOKiMONSTA last year when I first found and fell in love with her music. I went out of my way to buy her LP, which can only be purchased from a hip hop store in Japan because I was so enraptured. Unfortunately we haven’t met each other yet, even though I’ve showed up to some of her performances around Los Angeles and exchanged greetings with her on MySpace. When I do, though, I’m going to have her sign the LP I bought.

I had no idea this existed, but it’s awesome. I didn’t realise until a few days ago that typing “listen” on the dashboard no longer worked, but this is even better. No idea if this is a feature or an easter egg or whatever.
