This set is called Schoolgirl Complex, and it’s absolutely ingenious. Each shot is of a model in a schoolgirl uniform; some are cute and funny, others are suggestive and bizarre. I’m fascinated because it defines something that many men fantasize about, and yet each shot isn’t necessarily sexual. Instead the images are a strange insight into the many scenes of Japanese schoolgirls and allows us (at least, the male viewers) to take in the beauty of the skirts, knee socks, bowed shirts and cute slippers in a school setting without ever seeing the face of the model. Unfortunately the photographer doesn’t publish their name on the site.
